Guten Tach,

gibt es eigentlich irgendwo den Text zu Scorpio's on the rise bzw. hat den jemand rausgehört? Ich krieg immer nur Fragmente mit. Liegt's an mir oder handelt es sich möglicherweise, wie in Kai's Linernotes angedeutet um einen improvisierten "Blindtext"?

Ja, dieser Song kann wohl Kopfzerbrechen machen.
Mein Vorschlag hören, nicht denken sondern reinfühlen
und dann fehlen Dir keine Worte mehr.

Aber Achtung nicht mehr als die ärtzlich empfohlenen drei Einheiten am Tag, ansonsten kann es zu Bewustseinsverändernden Einflüssen kommen.

Mach ich ! Aber 3 mal am Tag schaff ich nicht. Liegt aber wohl auch an der - wie ich finde - exzellenten Gitarren / Keyboard-Interaktion. Haut mich jedesmal um.

habe mal versucht den Text zu dechiffrieren, die Basis scheint ok, aber an einigen Stellen hegt mein lieber Mann noch Zweifel. Zum Beispiel ticket oder digit / down wheel oder down hill . . .
Was will uns der Künstler damit sagen?

super Transkription, besten Dank. Verstehe allerdings hier und da mal was anderes, was allerdings aber nicht immer einen Sinn gibt.
Habe mir erlaubt hier und da in Klammern eine Alternative anzubieten. Bitte nicht schlagen wenn's Quatsch ist.

Aloha Jungs und Mädels!

In der Tat: Bei "Scorpio" handelt sich um einen improvisierten Stegreif-Text, der während der Aufnahme entstanden ist.

Jedenfalls habt ihr den Text in weiten Teilen so wiedergegeben, wie ich ihn auch gesungen habe und an genau den Stellen, über die ihr am meisten rätselt, handelt es sich um Lautmalerei und keine konkreten Worte. Der Spekulation ist somit Tür und Tor geöffnet...

Aber da ihr euch schon so intensiv mit dem Thema beschäftigt, will ich noch ein paar Worte dazu sagen: Ich hatte ja in den Linernotes schon erwähnt, dass es um eine frisch entflammte Leidenschaft ging. Die Dame war im Sternzeichen Skorpion, ein Tier, das mich immer schon fasziniert hat. Und obwohl ich alles andere als astrologisch veranlagt bin, fühlte ich den Skorpion aufsteigen – hypnotisch, verzehrend und sanft bis in den Stachel.
Es folgte eine Zeit des gehobenen Wahnsinns, da flogen in der Tat einige Brücken in die Luft und die Aufnahme ist so eine Vorahnung davon.
Aber es gibt ja Dinge, wo man durch muss, Opfer müssen gebracht werden oder wie es so schön heißt: Something's got to give...

Hallo lieber Gast!

Ich kann dir nur raten, such dir einen Skorpion und finde es selber raus. Es lohnt sich.
Mein Freund ist Skorpion und es fühlt sich genauso an, wie Kai es beschrieben hat.

Meinen Respekt für den Künstler!
Das ist eine wirkich bemerkenswerte Zusammenfassung der Situation.
Aber eins ist noch offen für mich, handelt es sich beim "SOMETHING'S GOT TO GIVE" um den Song des ach so lässigen Frank Sinatra?
Oder gab es diese Zeile auch schon einmal im weiten Repertoir von Extrabreit?
Wäre sehr hilfreich bei der Interpretation dieses dankbar von mir angenommenen Statements.
